Is it right to invite people to iftar during the pandemic?
My father kept saying, "How can I know that Ramadan has come after I don't invite people to the iftar dinner?" We said that it would be wrong in terms of health. Now he began to say that if we don't do it, he will curse us. Is it a sin if we don't listen to him?
Don't listen to your father ABOUT THIS. He wants it this way because he did not understand the danger of the current pandemic. Those who are sincere in giving iftar in this year's Ramadan should show their sincerity by paying the price for it. A believer only commits sin by putting himself and others in danger. Giving iftar and gathering people who are not household members are not the conditions of faith. People should not underestimate a disaster that is so great that our mosques will not be opened even on Friday for several weeks.
