Is there a prayer that can be done for the relatives of the deceased people?
When we go to condolences on someone's death, is there a special prayer that should be done to the relatives of the deceased?
Certain prayers are made for the deceased, but there is no special prayer that needs to be said while condolences to the relatives of the deceased. The words of our master, the Messenger of Allah, said to one of His daughter when her child died, can be a good example:
“What received is Allah's. What is left is Allah's. Everything is with an end in His sight. Be patient and expect rewards from Allah.”
It could also be said:
"May Allah give you patience, remove your affliction and forgive the deceased."
The one to whom his condolences are conveyed may say:
"Allah bless you. May He also help us with endurance and patience."
There is no harm in using local expressions that are not contrary to our Sharia.
