Is it permissible to want to be famous?
Is it permissible to seek recognition? For example, can someone who believes and tries to act faithful want to be famous? Can we say that it is absolutely haram to strive for this? If the methods s/he will earn are halal, can it be said that this person's earnings are halal?
We cannot directly say that it is haram, but we can say that it is walking on a thorny path. A Muslim should try not to introduce reasons that will facilitate the intervention of Satan in his life. And even if it is going to be famous, that reputation should come naturally.
