Is it permissible to celebrate New Year's by saying "Merry Christmas"?
My wife works as an English teacher. I heard her saying "Merry Christmas" to his students at the end of her online class on New Year's Day. I said that she could remove her from the circle of faith, Allah forbid, because it would mean celebrating the religious holidays of Christians. Is this word from alfâz-ı kufr? Do I need to renew my marriage with my wife?
Sinning is a different matter, but losing faith is a different matter. If your wife sees their day as holy and believes, then there is a danger of faith. Biiznillah, a word that does not go beyond a social greeting cannot be a religion.
