Is it obligatory to learn Arabic?
Can it be said that learning Arabic is obligatory for a Muslim?
We cannot say that it is fard for a Muslim to learn Arabic as a language, there is no such provision. Learning Arabic is encouraged for reasons such as being the source of our religion and the language of teaching of the Companions. This importance has reached the level of fard kifâya, especially for those who are engaged in religious sciences, but it cannot be said that it is fard for everyone.
