Do nasal sprays used as a corona precaution break the fast?
Dear sheikh, there are some nasal sprays that are being recommended by doctors and sold in pharmacies. These sprays are minty and they are being performed to the nose. They burn the upper nose for a while and then descend all the way down to nasal passage. Does using these sprays break our fast? Is there any permits at least for those who work in risky areas with regards to coronavirus?
The doctors we consult are stating that these sprays are not realistic and helpful as they are shown in advertisements. Also there is no advice for the usage of these sprays given from the ministry of health. So, it is quite hard to accept these as ‘medicines’. Not being a ‘medicine’ means not being necessary. If a few drops go down to the stomach, this will break the fast. It must be known as this.
